Michael Brun and Mr. Eazi set to join global superstar J. Balvin’s “VIBRAS” tour to present the sounds of modern Nigeria and Haiti
The performance will feature unreleased collaborations and VIP edits of Brun + Eazi’s hits
This September, two voices of the modern Caribbean and Afro music scenes, Haiti’s Michael Brun and Nigerian pop star Mr. Eazi will join Colombian superstar J. Balvin on his North American ‘VIBRAS TOUR’ powered by Buchanan’s Whiskey. Brun most recently collaborated with Balvin on their World Cup anthem ‘Positivo’.
With Brun on the decks and Mr. Eazi on the mic, the two will take center stage together, blending their unique contemporary takes on the traditional sounds of their home countries and from across the diaspora. This is world music seen through the prism of street parties and modern dance culture, rhythms that translate on dancefloors across all corners of the globe.
The two found each other when Michael attended a Mr. Eazi show in Haiti to support a local friend who was opening, but became enamored with Eazi’s sound. After exchanging some music post-performance, the next day they were in the studio together. A couple studio sessions yielded several productions, which Michael presented to Balvin, who instantly fell in love with the sound and suggested they join him on his tour.
After using his experiences in the EDM scene to focus on his Haitian Heritage, Michael Brun has become synonymous with the sound of contemporary Haiti, with TIME magazine calling him ‘a Haitian representative on the world stage’. 2018 has been a banner year for Michael, producing the Telemundo World Cup anthem, ‘Positivo’, with Balvin, now at over 10M views on Youtube, and selling out his ‘Bayo’ North America tour.
